me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

GO VOTE

Okay, it's Election Day. Even those benighted few of you who don't share my brilliant and enlightened politics, get out and vote! Have to pick up the kids? Take them with you to stand on line, show them how important this is to you and your neighbors. Have to go to work? Take an hour off, show your boss this is important enough to get docked for. Suffragists were beaten and force-fed, blacks were lynched, and people all over the world are still dying for this right. No, it's not a perfect system. In fact, and particularly in NYC today, it's a sorry-ass broke-down system. But like me in a 5k, it somehow manages to stagger to the finish line every time. You want to keep complaining? Then earn that right. GO VOTE!
