me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Happy Thanksgiving, youse all!

I like Thanksgiving because it's the most communal holiday we have here in the wildly individualistic US of A. With the exception of Native Americans, and if I were them I wouldn't either, most of us, whatever our culture of origin, sit down to some kind of group meal today -- at Grandma's, in the dorm, in the barracks, at the Palm, at McDonald's, at the soup kitchen -- and spend just a moment realizing we're actually glad we're together. I hope youse all, at some point today, enjoy that moment.
