me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Dude, where's my blizzard?

The news said yesterday we could expect 10-15 inches of snow, starting overnight. Woke up this morning expecting to find whiteness everywhere, but no. Tiny drifting snowflakes just starting now (it's nearly 11). I'm going to the gym soon, hoping for snowdrifts when I emerge.

Meanwhile, because JL and I went to the NY Botanical Garden -- which is of course in the Bronx, see my story in BRONX NOIR -- to see the train show, I have two sets of photos for you. Train show ones coming later, but here are some general Garden pix. As always, click on any one to get to the Flickr page (love Flickr!), then click on either the "Botanical Garden" set or my "photostream," both on the right.
