Upcoming workshops: "Writing the Books We Like to Read" -- Omega Institute, June 9-14 and
"Crime Writing and Genre Fiction" -- Art Workshop International, Assisi, Italy, July 30-Aug 10

I'm a writer, at work on my 14th book. This blog is a record of random and less-random thoughts. If you want to know more about me, check my website. If you want to take a workshop, see above -- no experience necessary, just a desire to write!

Forty-fifth Saturday, three days late, from a train on the way to Connecticut

Calm morning, no wind.
Flock of white gulls on gray pond
Face every which way.

Iron wheels clacking.
Tree trunk shadows flashing past.
Hawk slowly circling.

Train bursts from tunnel.
From curving path through grasses,
Two bicyclists wave.

I apologize for my tardiness in recent haiku postings. It's been a tough few weeks. If you're tired of waiting for my haiku, you might want to try my book of them. Haiku at your fingertips!
