me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Just trying to following the NRA's logic here

So, if Adam Lanza'a mother had had a gun, she might've prevented the whole thing, right? Oh, but wait -- all those guns were hers.

Okay, but armed guards at schools: like, if Columbine had had an armed guard, he might've prevented that whole thing, right? Oh, but wait -- it did have one.

Ah, but we protect the President with armed guards. Good thing, because it's prevented our Presidents from -- oh, but wait.

Yup, we put armed guards on banks, and there you go -- no one robs banks, do they? No one knocks over armored cars, no one hijacks planes, no one shoots judges in their courtrooms, because all those places are protected by people with guns.

And no one is exactly who the NRA plan will protect us from. NRA, WTF?
