"How are you doing today?"

I'm doing ok. Busy thinking day today. Stopped rushing to work in time to start working on a voluenteer web project. Got excited about the momentum we are getting at work. YAY! Had a groggy kind of morning, which got better when I got home and guru took me to dinner. Fabulous. :) Now, now I'm trying to remember what the heck was I going to write down here this morning at 10 am? I think it was:

- cursing illustrator? My illustrator 10 is really screwy on my OSX powerbook g4. Very Odd. Works fine on its big brother sitting beneath the table beside me, but flips out when I run it here. Foo.

- Trouble with laundry. Actually trouble with touch pads and bezel curves. I never realized that my fingers sweat a lot when I'm doing either apparently. And if you know anything about these curves, you really need to control your mouse (or use a drawing wand thing) if you want the photo to look anything like what you want. I think this is the root of why I find designing on my laptop stunted. :(

- What activity next? I'm trying to play more viola for fun. I chop my way through beethoven, surprising the neighbors. That is the most common reaction I've seen in apartment dwelling and string playing. Nobody can believe a string player can play in an apartment. I think nothing of it, except there is not a lot of light in our place, so I end up walking the stand around. Last sunday I ended up playing in the kitchen, only decent overhead light. I try not to play or vaccum after 9 ish out of politeness for the people I share walls with.

- Guru pointed out the miserable fact yesterday that for the same amount of money it would take to by a crappy, stand alone apartment here, we could get a 4 bedroom deluxe mansion in shady side where we use to live. Disgusting.

- You can't walk around here without stepping in the yuppy. Travelers, you are warned. Really that is the fundimental problem here. It is a big pile of yuppy. They children are turning to goths out of sheer antibiotic reaction.

- T-minus a week before the 'laws appear from the ether. It makes me think: Hmmm...I wonder what we will do? and OMG WE MUST CLEAN HOUSE!

- Last but not least, I LOVE central air. Oh how I missed you, CA. If there is a heaven it will pgh with central air and under the floor boards heating.

on that note - NITE.
