Actually, distance is a relative term. As I was driving home from the pool I could see I was being followed by a nasty dark gray cloud. And then as I was about a mile from home NPR was cut off by a severe thunderstorm warning.

According to the weather radar, it's not that large a storm, but I guess it's severe. I do hope that it does rain--we could stand the cooldown. And I'm home for the night and all the cats are inside. Even BadCat stays in when the weather is threatening. Fabian is, I assume, under the couch or bed. He doesn't like storms.

This morning I pulled up a bunch more weeds/treelets/prickly viney things from what I jokingly call a lawn (although it's looking more and more like a really bad one, as opposed to a vast wasteland.) And I managed to get the week's trash up to the road before the pick-up man came.

All in all, just another IUD.
