By tracking (more or less) the times of comments and the changes in hit counts, I have reached a conclusion which should provoke a "duhhh" from most readers.

A LOT of people read blogs at work.

On company time, no less. I am shocked!

Hit count is down on weekends.

I can read blogs (and play Ning Po Mah Jong and various solitaires) at work without guilt--after all, consider my pay scale.

On the home front, the little yellow tom is becoming friendlier and friendlier. And CC is really fascinated by him, especially when he sits on the front porch (outside the screened part) and watches the resident cats eat.

I've begun using him as a disposal for day-old cat food. Waste not, want not.

He has started coming out occasionally when I come up the driveway, just like BadCat does all the time.

The great ditch-cleaning project continued today. That means someone is coughing up overtime. They're not done in this area--I know that because the ditch-digger is once again parked on the triangle of land across the street from me. (It happens to be parish property.)

I've started reading Jennifer Government. It's a world dominated by American enterprise and people take the name of their employer for their last name. It's interesting. I got about halfway through it this afternoon at PJ's.

Final oddment for the day: If you want to get a bunch of $1 coins, buy your stamps at a Post Office vending machine, especially when your smallest bill happens to be a $20.
