Even though I worked three days in a row, I have another weekend ahead of me. I'll probably start next week with Tuesday. My car needs an oil change and a bath (I get them both done at the same place) and my feet need a trip to the nail "salon." I haven't decided whether to go the one I went to before, or go to WalMart. WalMart is $5 more, but it's more convenient. My closest WalMart has not only a nail salon, but a beauty shop, florist, plant nursery, license plate place, optometrist and optician, and a Subway. Plus good prices on lots of stuff.

I found my son-in-law's name in another old newspaper article. He'd been put in charge of some department with the (then) newly elected New Orleans District Attorney. (The hours and the commute got to him, and the local D.A. was delighted to have him back.)

When I came home this afternoon BadCat was sitting very demurely on the top rail of the fence, keeping watch for me. (Probably not, but it's nice to think that MIGHT have been the case.) And Leo was on the front porch, looking at CC, who was inside the screens. Leo tried to come in but I explained that he had to have an "initiation" before that would happen. (Note to self: call the vet. If he can't do it in his van, I'll go to the Humane Society.) I'm sure Leo and Fabian have observed each other--Fabian eats on the porch too.

They're talking about the possibility of "severe weather" when the next cold front comes through this weekend. Needless to say, people are listening carefully, although there's not much you can do (other than getting out of your FEMA trailer) if it turns as nasty as a couple of weeks ago. (tornados)

Definitely an IUD.
