Yet More "Politics of Pauline"

Pauline and her political activities and aspirations comprise the majority of the records that I'm currently processing. Chronologically, I seem to be going backward. The first box I tackled had her race (unsuccessful) for Mayor in 2001 - 02. Today I worked on her two campaigns for the state Senate. She left the Senate when she won an election for a municipal judgeship. I'll have to check with my older son-in-law to see if she's still a judge. (He's a native New Orleanian and a lawyer.)

I've given most of the rest of the boxes a quick glance and have found a couple of big cartons about the Louisiana Women's Network (or something like that.) That also looks quite interesting.

New Orleans is hosting first and second games in one of the NCAA brackets. An Illinois college is obviously one of the teams--as I was driving in this morning I was passed by two HUGE tour buses--both with Illinois plates. Apparently, most of the fans do not share that NBA player's concern about New Orleans' ability to host the All-Star game. Give me a break--they just hosted Mardi Gras, not to mention the Sugar Bowl and a couple of other "biggies." And the Essence Festival is quite anxious to get back here this fall.

I just realized I forgot to try calling some plumbers today. As I said before, at least I have more than toilet in the house.
