Yesterday was the "chick" get-together the local librarian planned. I'd been looking forward to going, but somehow my brain is still in early April--the month is going faster than I can keep up.

Darn!!

Today was another at-home day, with tidying, reading, putting out trash, etc. to break the monotony. I may still do some yard stuff before it's dark. Or, I may leave it till tomorrow.

I'm currently reading a Sheri S. Tepper book that I bought at the book sale--Jinian Star-eye. It's quite interesting, but screams that there are books that come before it. I just checked on amazon and found that this is actually the last book in the series. Now I'm wondering if I should finish it, or start on the search for the prequels. It's not like I don't have anything else to read.

My monster cat just realized I'm in the computer room and has now parked himself on top of the CPU. That guarantees he'll get lots of chin-scritching. And he knows it.

I shall now mark my various calendars with two other "must" dates so that I don't forget them too. These are connected with the retirement of the director of the Women's Center. YD agreed to stop by on her way home those days and feed the critters--they do NOT like being fed five hours late, even though there is (almost) always dry food down for them.

Guess I'll go watch the local news.
