My "regular" four day weekend is almost over and, as usual, I did about half of what I wanted/needed to do felt like doing.

I did make some progress on my latest geek reading about gender development and roles in various societies.

I also finished up about four Cross Sums that I'd started.

And this morning I figured out what to do with all the cardboard boxes that have been accumulating. You got it--I drowned them. If I can ever find some money-hungry teenager I think I'll transplant some of the little wild cherry treelets to that area. That will crowd out the feathery weeds. It will also look nice and smell good in the spring. (It will look nice all year, actually, but especially in the spring.)

This is an extremely stable neighborhood--about the only new people are the half dozen or so who have built recently. The families of the teenagers who used to do odd jobs are still here, but their kids are married and gone.

Eventually I'll find someone.

Weather today was gorgeous. And the weatherman said it might get below 60 tonight, but would be in the mid-80s tomorrow. The humidity was practically in negative figures.

Oh yes--I got caught up on personal bookkeeping.
