Last night there were what have become "the usual noises." This morning the trash can was on its side, with the lid pushed away. The bungee cord was still in place, so the little bandit somehow managed to get the lid loosened, then shoved partly off.

At first I though he'd taken the whole 8 lb. bag, but no--just what he wanted to eat.

On the other hand, the big clip with which I closed the partly used bags has disappeared. Do raccoons collect souveniers?

Other than that, it was a typical March day. It was right about 60 in the early morning, and it's cooled off enough this evening that I am not using the AC--just the fan to move the air around. I expect to have two girl cats curled up against me all night.

I had a Discussion with Fabian about pulling the closet door open and messing up everything on the floor. He is now using a sort of corner where he has rearranged some half worn cotton sweaters (half worn = worn once, okay for around the house) into quite the little nest. However, I shall try to remember to get a hook and eyelet so I can "lock" the closet door.

TV looks dull (and repetitive) this evening. Guess I'll look in my mind candy container for something to read.
