Sunday, and I did my grocery shopping, finishing just after 9 AM, so I then got gas. I didn't want to go to church (and back) after four days of New Orleans commutes.

Got home, read a bit of the paper, then headed for church. A friend I haven't seen in a while came in and it was good chatting with her.

But that conversation wasn't enough for either of us, so we went to Chili's for lunch, and then Barnes & Noble for coffee. (It's in the same shopping center.) We finally left there about 5 PM.

Miracle of miracles, I passed through the mystery/science fiction on two trips to Ladies and didn't buy a book! My friend, however, bought a SF short story collection that had been autographed by one of the authors.

A MUCH more pleasant way to spend an afternoon than pulling weeds.

And, I couldn't resist the quiz on Netta's journals. Think what you want about the results.

You Should Be a Science Fiction Writer

Your ideas are very strange, and people often wonder what planet you're from.

And while you may have some problems being "normal," you'll have no problems writing sci-fi.

Whether it's epic films, important novels, or vivid comics...

Your own little universe could leave an important mark on the world!
