I am in the next-to-last phase of processing this particular batch of archives. I have gone through ALL the boxes, gotten the materials in chronological/subject order, and am now making a list of the contents of each carton.

The final step is to transfer material into acid-free file folders and label each one not only with what's in it, but also the accession number, box number, and folder number.

That will be boring--but satisfying.

And I need to locate the acid-free folders. I knew where they were before the roof started to leak into that room. The roof is now fixed, but I haven't checked to see if things are back where they are suypposed to be.

I noticed this morning that Lady had somehow lost her collar. Fortunately I have a couple of others around, so I added the current license tags and now she has a red collar--with reflective spots on it! I wonder how long it will takea her to get rid of it too. This year's license tag is green, so she has a bit of a Christmassy look.

I think I brightened up the day of whoever answered the phone at the doctor's office. I told her I had this week's appointment on one calendar as Tuesday and on another calendar as Wednesday. She laughed a bit then cleared up the confusion.

And so there goes another IUD.
