Well, I went ahead and booked a trip to Rochester, NY. I leave on July 23 and get home that Saturday.

It took a while to find a flight that did NOT leave at 6:30 AM, yet got into Rochester at a decent hour. The reverse was even harder.

I'm all set for parking--I bought the Park and Fly online also, plus the cancellation etc. insurance.

Now I can start getting excited!

Today was a good day at work--the folders finally arrived!! If they hadn't I was going to skip going in on Monday. Tuesday I'm getting a back injection, and Wednesday is a holiday. But I want to get all the Brylski stuff out of the way.

The threatening thunder sounds and rapidly darkening sky suggested bad weather this afternoon, so I left early. But the storm didn't follow me home, as often happens.

Yesterday evening I got so sweaty that my hair had not dried by morning. I got up extra early so I could wash it. I rinsed my body off last night, but let the hair wait.

The important thing is that the car is gone!!! (And it sounded pretty good as it left the driveway.) I guess I could call the insurance company and have them take it off my insurance now. And as long as I have them on the line, see about getting a windshield ding taken care of. It's just below eye level, and looks like a perky little bird. So far, it isn't spreading. (It happened at least a month ago.)

I need to remember to take one of my fabric "shopping bag" totes in to work. It will make getting stuff up and down the stairs a lot easier. I was taking my box of 100 file folders down those 19 stairs by the usual method of putting it on the floor near the edge of the step, going down four or five steps, then reaching up, getting hold of, then bringing the box down four or five more steps. Repeat until you are on the ground floor, or someone else comes down the stairs and grabs the box for you.

The rest of this evening will be spent reading a Joan Hess book. So far there is only the dead body that was in the freezer, but then I'm less than halfway through the book.

And it doesn't look like this side of the lake will get that rain that was in New Orleans. At least not this evening.
