Six months gone, but one of them was the short one, so it's not quite halfway through the year.

It's definitely summer though--hot, humid, with a chance of showers of varying strength almost daily.

But it's the climate I've gotten used to over the last 43 years. It's nice to be able to have some kind of blooming flowers--outside--almost all year long.

Today was another Unremarkable one. I did some tidying up around the house and did a load of dark laundry. (Note to self: move it from the washer to the dryer. Second note to self: get the dry clothes out of the dryer first.) I finished one Joan Hess book, which centered a dead body that would not stay put, and started on another one. The setting for this one is a Renaissance Festival being held in the college town.

I took the three books I'd finished, registered them with BookCrossings, and set them free when I went to PJ's. They were gone when I left.

Tomorrow is grocery shopping. I'll work Monday, since the folders came in late Friday. I'd like to have all ten boxes completely done and where they are supposed to go back in the archival storage before the end of next week.

On the home front, I also need to weed the driveway--with the Jimmy gone the weeds are a lot more visible.

I wasn't really paying attention to the evening TV news, so I guess the world hasn't blown itself up. Yet. I'm sure if it did there would be non-stop TV coverage.
