It Rained

But not very much.

In New Orleans it lasted maybe five minutes. Here at home it lasted long enough to increase the humidity as it lowered the temperature. It rained at home when I wasn't there.

At work the guy from Maintenance was busy putting velcro strips along the tops of the stacks (bookcases) so that protective sheets of plastic can be stored up there.

(I just realized that there might be a small problem when he gets to my area--I've got empty archival boxes stashed on the stacks nearest me.)

I think I have two boxes of the art lady's files (almost) completed. Everything is in acid-free folders, all said folders are labelled, and I have a rough copy of the inventory of each carton. I need to add a collection number to each folder, as well as a folder number.

But the stuff is starting to make a bit of sense. I like it when I start to see the patterns rather than the just a large quantity of folders.

As I went out to my car this morning Lady was showing a great deal of interest in a little (only about 10 inches long) speckled king snake. I have no idea whether she just played with it, looked at it, "disposed" of it, or ate it. Those snakes are useful, but the rodents Lady catches are not--at least to me.

And so another day is about gone. I sure hope we get a bit of a shower during the evening, but the skies are disgustingly clear.

Well, sweating ("glowing") moisturizes the skin. (Sometimes too much though.)
