It crept in on little cat feet, but then it just sat there covering everything, like my monster cat does.

Fog = at least one idiot outdriving his vision range and initiating a string of bumper tag.

At least that wasn't the case on the old bridge, but as usual the Interstate inbound to New Orleans was down to one lane.

And that meant that lots of people would take the meandering route through a very expensive subdivision so they could "save time" by turning the old Hwy 11 route into another snail crawl.

The problem is that while Hwy 11 is two lanes each direction going through Slidell, it reverts to one lane (each way) as soon as it passes the city limits. And if that isn't bad enough, maybe a quarter of a mile further--when there's been an interstate tie-up--the traffic that decided not to wait in line for the interstate instead adds itself to the one lane (recently two lanes) of traffic heading for the old bridge.

Bottom line--it took me twice as long as usual to get to work at Newcomb this morning. (But I was still the one who got to unlock the building.)

Once there, I got a significant amount of work done, and by Monday late afternoon I hope to have the current collection completely processed.

Tomorrow, however, I shall dedicate to grading papers/exams/whatever and then doing the grade calculations. I figure that if I get to PJ's nice and early I'll be able to get it all done--with the help of their coffee and a cappucchino chocolate chip muffin (or two.) The deadline for posting grades is next Monday, so I don't have tons of pressure. I'm hoping to get them done by Saturday night.

Tomorrow should be just another IUD.
