My Incredibly Unremarkable Life

This morning I did some laundry. (Note to self--don't forget to empty dryer.)

I also took a rather long nap. I'm sure the presence of Lady curled up on me increased the length of the nap. (Brain wave reinforcement, you know.)

And, in the afternoon I spent some time at PJ's doing geekish reading. I began by just "looking over" a book about three empresses of the Byzantine Empire, but then I got caught up in it.

I am crossing fingers that I'll get a teaching slot this fall, and if that happens I'd really like to be "up" on this topic, since the Byzantine Empire is part of the syllabus.

Naturally, since I turned off the furnace pilot the other day, it is getting a bit cool this evening.

I'll be so glad when Monday comes and I get my new light in the kitchen. It's rather gloomy with only the over-sink light, the stove light, and some light from the dining area. The light bulb in the microwave has been out forever also.

Didn't I say it was an IUD?
