Saturday--another day in the week, and since I don't work on Friday it isn't even the beginning of the weekend.

Did cleaning stuff around the house in the morning, including taking down a hooked hanging of the moon through pine trees. I did it years ago and every once in a while I have to tumble it in the dryer. That I did, and the colors are unbelieveably bright again. One of the hanging straps needs fixing, but I can do that by hand (or possibly safety pin--it's on the back).

It rained for a while this morning, so that kept me from doing yard work :( . Instead I packed up my books and notebooks and headed for PJ's, where I had a chicken panini sandwich for lunch and got all sorts of reading done.

Meanwhile, the rain had stopped and I decided that since I really needed raccoon food, and the best price is at WalMart, I might as well go there and pick up some other stuff too.

The Force was with me!! There in the parking lot was a motorized cart. (They aren't supposed to be taken outside.) I was a Good Citizen and brought it back in. And stayed in/on it.

I spent a ridiculous $2.98 for a round watermelon, but rationalized it because the rind will make a great treat for the critters. I may try to salvage some of the seeds and toss them out beyond the lawn. The critters will probably eat them, but then again they might sprout.

And finally . . .
