Yes, book two of the four from YD for my birthday. Bitten really caught me up in its story about a (female)werewolf. I think I spent at least three hours reading it at PJ's, not to mention some time this morning and last night. I will have definitely finished it by bedtime. I am now on page 390 of 436.

Bear in mind, the other two birthday books are even longer.

However, that gives me that much more time to avoid stupid stuff like housework and yard cleanup. Time spent reading is NEVER time wasted.

I slept poorly last night. At one point I moved to my office and crashed on the double papasan, with the AC on. That bought me about four hours, then I shifted back to the couch in the den. My big concern was getting out of the papasan, but I managed that okay. I've got a bunch of stuff piled on it (such as a sleeping bag, an afghan, and an old bedspread) so it's not like I have to "climb" up and stress my knees.

About the only "constructive" activity today was cleaning fans. I wasn't able to get one that had died to work again, but I did revive another one. I need to put the dead fans up on Freecycle--surely there is a handyperson out there willing to take a chance on getting them operable again.

I had planned on getting another weed whacker this afternoon, but I got too involved in the reading. Maybe tomorrow. But tomorrow I also want to be at WalMart for groceries REALLY early so I can get an electric cart. I guess the WW can wait a few days.

Back to the book.
