Well, cross morning yard work off the "list." The sky is now gray and the weather radar shows several hours (at least) of rain. Thank you Dolly.

Oh yeah--400,000 gallons of diesel fuel were released into (onto--it floats) the Mississippi when a ship collided with a barge carrying said fuel.

The river is pretty well coated, but because it's fuel and not crude oil it won't affect the water taken from the river to slake the thirst of New Orleanians. Not that anybody actually drinks the water from the Mississippi-- even though river water is technically pure it doesn't taste particularly great. Bottled water is a HUGE business here.

With all the rain coming, I'm glad I stayed home because of potential paving.
