I've got my fingers crossed that we'll have "normal" weather for a while. There's a line of showers (and heavy rain) on the weather radar, but I think it's probably just the usual summer stuff.

There's a tray in the corner of the hall that holds the dry cat food dispenser and a dish that generally holds water. Someone spilled the water, which combined with spilled dry cat food to make a mess.

Today I finally got that cleaned up, and while I was at it I gave the floor a good mopping. (Love those Swiffer wet mops!)

I watched the Saints play an unsatisfactory game (they lost) against the Redskins. I'll have to check, but I think next week they have a Monday night home game. If I remember right they have TWO Monday night home games this season. Guess whoever broadcasts them likes New Orleans!

And then, to make my IUD complete, I managed to get to WalMart in time to pick up some essentials, such as dry cat food, that I was running low on. Since Gustav their hours have been just 7 to 7. Needless to say, there were really long lines at the checkout. I was very glad I'd snagged a motorized cart and could therefore sit while in line.

On the way home NPR had a program about Johnny Cash. I really do like his deep deep voice. And I like his music. Between WalMart and home I got to hear "Ring of Fire," "Boy Named Sue," and "Folsom Prison Blues."

I do hope that that rain front gets out of here before morning--I really do want to go in to work. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
