I couldn't find my cell phone yesterday evening. I remembered it being in my pocket when I made groceries, but it wasn't there, and it wasn't in its other logical place near where I sit. Or in the bathroom where I changed my slacks after groceries.

I'd given the car a perfunctory check last evening, in case it had fallen out of my pocket (which has never happened) or I'd put it on the seat to make it easier to use. However, I do the latter only when I'm commuting and might want to report a traffic snarl.

So, this morning I kept on hunting.

I now have a moderately less junky car, and I'll probably be up for crimes against rabbitry for all the dust bunnies I destroyed looking under the couch etc.

The missing cell phone problem was not a particular problem when I had a landline.

So, I e-mailed YD with my problem, and about ten minutes later my office room rang with the tones of the phone. I hadn't found it when it stopped, but YD called again, and I found it hiding in my bathrobe pocket.

Disaster averted.

(In case someone else had it, the ringing would let them know to whom it belonged.
