I slept in a bit this morning, then lazed around the house for a while. Did some of the usual picking-up stuff, read a little, and took a nap.

CC has made herself a marvelous little nest on the double papasan in my office. She's got the Snow Lion (down sleeping bag) squished up under a summer bedspread so there is almost a cave. She seems quite proud of herself. And, of course, she has it within my reach so she can get petting when I'm at the computer.

Did I mention that I've figured out what her breed is? She's a calimese tabby. She's got the black, gray, white, and orange of a calico, the conformation of a Siamese (including the tail crook flaw) and her colors are about 2/3 arranged in a tabby pattern.

(I shall probably tell the vet that when I take her in for shots one of these days.)

Productive activity for today was minimal. I'm reading Tess Gerritsen's Bone Garden. So far, quite good.

I was tempted to light the furnace this morning, but decided I could wait a little longer. However, I'll close some windows tonight so I don't freeze tomorrow morning.
