My main project today was getting at the weeding in the yard near the street. I managed to fill one barrel and about a third of the large one. I think I managed to do this without getting bleeding-stabbed by thorn vine or dewberries. This is a major accomplishment. And of course I wear gloves, but even so sometimes the thorns get through.

By the time I finished I was more than ready for a shower, including hair wash.

And now I'm all nice and clean, with shiny hair and shorter bangs. (No, they don't shrink when washed--but it was time to trim them.)

If I can get my body up early enough tomorrow I'll go in to work. I passed along my Saints tickets for tomorrow night's game, but I'll still be watching it at home. That means I won't get to bed particularly early.

The guy who is getting the tickets called me to verify the parking and route. I wrote it all down, but I think he was reassured by the instructions. He's reasonably familiar with the area, but was quite impressed by our method of avoiding traffic jams on the way home. Part of the instructions are to turn at the first thing that looks like a street, then go to just before an overpass and turn on what does NOT look like a street. When I told him that we'd never run into bad traffic on that route he was quite pleased.

I hope it's a good game.

And now it's time to refill the dry cat food dish for Pogo.
