Today was an INCREDIBLY unremarkable day. In the morning I replaced the elastic in a pair of work slacks (it makes yard work much easier if I'm not always pulling my pants up.) Then I took out the weed whacker and whacked a few weeds. I should have brought my chair with me so I could sit between whacking sessions.

But the weed-whacker is staying together and doing its job when asked. Tomorrow I'll try to do some more. It's much easier to work outside when I am not soaked in my perspiration.

(Time to interject another old joke: horses sweat, gentlemen perspire, ladies glow. And boy do I ever glow when it's hot and humid!)

I got the monthly report from my financial genius. She has really limited losses. My independent investment company (Dreyfuss) also weathered the last month quite nicely.

So much for today.

Follow-up on yesterday:

Here we have a picture of a booted car. I can't read the license plate or I'd be able to tell if it was from the New Orleans area. (The state trooper license plates begin with the letter of their "region". New Orleans is B, Baton Rouge is A, Slidell/St. Tammany and some other small parishes are L. How's that for totally useless information!)
