YD and I went to the Saints game against Atlanta. It was a back and forth game and (as usual) we left a bit early and listened to the end on the drive home.

The games have been sold out for a couple of years, so the people around us are just about all familiar faces, including one woman who probably will end up with pneumonia from her outfit.

She had on tight pants that were solidly packed. And on top she had a (mostly) backless blouse. (Colors, of course, were black and gold.) Her hair was solid black and frizzed out. Oh yes--there was a long black and gold feather boa. She had a fleur de lis penciled (painted?) on her face. Quite a sight, but she seems nice enough.

The thing is--the Superdome is kept on the cool side. YD had on a sweatshirt, but was still a bit chilly. I had on a 3/4 sleeve sweater and a corduroy blazer, and I was also a bit cool.

Anyway--the game was back and forth and at this point I don't recall who was ahead when we left. But the Saints won in the last minutes.

And then, when we got back to my house, YD spent about an hour with my computer, which has gotten all gunked up from bits and pieces that sneak in, including one that I thought was legit.

It is now significantly faster and I can access her web site again. She is definitely a very useful--not to mention clever--person, and she has my neverending gratitude.

She also fixed the broken cord on my closet light so I can once again see what is in there. The cord had snapped from age, but I was not about to climb up on a ladder to fix it with my hips and knees being what they are.

I think I'll wait till Tuesday to go in to work--that way I can get the inventory lists all typed up at home, rather than wait till a (non Apple) computer is available there.

This means I can stay up late, and sleep in a bit.

I just hope the cat doesn't bring me breakfast again.
