. . . it gets closer to That Day.

Except for the meerkats, my "shopping" is non-existent.

I have No Ideas.

I don't see (or hear) much of my older grands, so that presents a problem.

However, I don't think I'll have a problem with the step-great grands--YD can give me some ideas, not to mention the age and sex of those who live in Lafayette.

Meanwhile, the days count down. It's a week from tomorrow so I have plenty of time to get stuff.

When my kids were little (some forty years ago) I discovered that the 5 and 10s (you remember those--precursors of WalMart etc.) marked stuff down really drastically on December 24. Once I got a really cute doll for almost nothing.

So--this morning was spent just sort of messing around. I spent most of the afternoon at the coffee shop, doing geek reading. The mail had two books I'd ordered recently and they were everything I expected.

And so another Incredibly Unremarkable Day has about gone by. So far I haven't been gifted with any treasures by my feline buddies.
