First--a bit of explanation. My computer sits on a card table, along with the multi-plug, the speakers, the modem, a couple of containers of 3.5" floppies, a coffee cup with assorted little stuff in it, a word-a-day calendar, the mouse, remote for the AC, a couple of small screwdrivers that migrated here when I was hooking up the new monitor, a pen, a book I'm going to register on bookcrossings, . . . and a calimese tabby cat, curled up and pretending to be asleep.

Well, asleep is better than pacing back and forth and walking on the keyboard.

(Needless to say, I keep the keyboard covered whenever I am not using it.)
