Well, the morning went to church--very thought-provoking presentation about fair labor practices--followed by socializing.

And I stopped at WalMart on the way home for more raccoon food.

I read the paper, messed around on the computer a bit, and then heard a knock on my door.

It was my friend who pets-sits (and is tending my neighbor's pets) stopping by to chat. Spot and Stripe were both waiting for their "share" of supper, except that Spot semi-challenged CC about it. As a result, CC's supper is here in the computer room.

We had a great chat covering all sorts of topics. I was hoping the raccoons would come by, but they didn't.

She admired the work that YK has done. She knows what it looked like before, since she was feeding critters here while I was on vacation.

It is now threatening to rain and, in fact, a flash flood advisory was issued a couple of hours ago. Not for my side of Lake Pontchartrain, thank goodness.

Tomorrow is a holiday, and I have a LOT I need to do, beginning with those archival inventories.

And it is lovely and cool and should be good sleeping tonight.
