In the middle of the kitchen floor. Partly disassembled.

Somebody in the household caught a bird, and it was not I!

Naturally, whoever brought it in got most of the feathers loose.

However, I have seen a LOT worse, such as when the bird is brought in the house alive. Can you say blood spots on the ceiling?

I praised both the cats.

Other than that, it was a day like any other work day. The (new) director came by when I was eating lunch and said hello.

I made good progress on the processing of the materials, and I think it's safe to say I'm well past the halfway point on the sorting etc.

The traffic on the drive in was heavy. It was stop and slow for two more exits (onramps) than usual on the way in, and then no speedup after the split to the "short way." The trip home made up for it though--traffic just sailed right along.

And when I got home I found a package on my porch from Barnes & Noble. Yes--it was Blood of the Demon, and I plan to start reading it tonight. I'm not going in to work tomorrow so I can stay up late if I want to.
