It threatened rain a bit, but that seems to have blown over and there should be a couple of clear days ahead.

And Mother Earth is stretching her limbs and shifting position in other parts of the world than Haiti.

I'm sure there are some saying "it's the Apocalypse" but to my way of thinking it's proof that the Earth is a living organism, and change happens. As to what (if any) influence the supposedly intelligent life on earth has to do with it--I say perhaps some. But perhaps that's just part of the Great Scheme of things.

I got out really early and got some grocery etc. shopping done.

I hit the jackpot with the etc. Knit tops were marked way down, and I found two short-sleeved ones that will go well with the slacks I have. I also spotted a 3/4 sleeve blouse that will double as a light jacket.

I started reading Blood of the Demon at supper, and figure I'll have it read by tomorrow evening. It's not a book you can read just a few pages at a time.

I'm hearing a bunch of sirens--most likely from the highway about a mile or so away. When the fire trucks or ambulances come up my street they are a LOT louder. Generally speaking, I live in a quiet area.

As you can tell, this was another IUD.
