My car was dropped off on the mechanic's way home. In less than 15 minutes I was out in it, erranding.

Actually, the erranding started at Arby's, where I got some reading done in Eight for Eternity. So far it doesn't seem to follow Seven chronologically. I'll probably get that figured out with more reading. In fact, it seems to be fairly close to the beginning of the series, timewise.

I had a lovely relaxing day, albeit carless. I sat outside on the patio for more than an hour and read and had a phone conversation. It goes without saying that the adjacent chair was occupied by a (mostly) black cat.

The deciduous trees are getting greener each day. And I MUST get at some weeding/clearing on the point--the azaleas which were about 5 ft. tall before they got mowed post-Katrina are happily recovering, and there are blossoms. They must have developed good root systems BK.

I plan on going in to work tomorrow, where I hope to finish getting the rest of the collection into their archival folders. I can then bring the inventories home and type them here.

When I came up the driveway this evening I saw several critters with striped tails and masks hurry off the front porch. Hope the possums came early enough to get their share. I tossed out a bunch of raccoon biscuits to keep them happy and (mostly) off the porch.

And so another IUD has almost passed.
