It was a a quiet day here. I sat outside to read the paper and I discovered that the tree that was budding out last week with little reddish leaflets has gone beyond that stage and now has regular (albeit still small) green leaves. And the other trees continue to bring forth new foliage and once again most of my "views" are trees and other plant growth.

I didn't feel too great till after lunch, but now I'm fine, if you don't count the toe that somehow got slammed against the outside of the bathtub. I'm going to assume it's just bruised, unless walking suddenly gets really painful.

I plan on spending this week at home typing up the inventories of the three cartons I've about finished processing. They will then become attachments to an e-mail to the archivist, and the next time I go in I'll put copies in the appropriate cartons. The time I don't spend driving back and forth can be used (in a perfect world, by a person who never procrastinates) for stuff like yard or household work.

I really need to get at the area across the street. It's a triangle formed by two streets that are parallel about a mile away, but meet in front of my house. The azaleas that have been almmost non-existent since Katrina are looking almost robust. When I (finally) get the weeds and tall grassy stuff pulled out, they should really bounce back. (Especially if I can find the azalea food which might be in the garage.)

(The name of the gardening game around here is try to get it done before it gets really hot.)

Another IUD.
