Yesterday evening the car engine temp began to rise on my drive home from Arby's.

This afternoon I checked out the radiator level and the fluid was down quite a bit. It took between five and six liters of water to get it back to normal. (I used an old 2 liter cola bottle so I could get a rough idea of how much it had gone down.)

Monday I'll talk to my car guy and give him the data on fluid loss.

This evening one of the young raccoons almost came onto the screened area of the front porch--while I was sitting there. It had heard the rattle of raccoon kibble and came up the steps. CC was on the low table and she just looked at him. Then he spotted me and decided to exercise a little caution.

He watched me fill the bowls, and by the time I was inside the house proper and five feet from the door he was chomping away.

The possums also like the cat kibble.

And the other evening I forgot to bring the half empty bag back in. I had the top rolled down and held in place with a clip. When I discovered the bag it was completely empty.

I'll say this--the critters were very neat about the whole thing--only two small scraps of bag on the floor.

We are definitely into the edges of warmer weather. I'm using the office AC when I'm in here after noon, and I have some of the living room/den area fans running most of the day.

Tomorrow I shall try to get an early start and do some yard maintenance. And I must charge the battery on the electric weed-whacker.

I'm writing this about as the local news is on, so I haven't been caught up with the oil spill devastation or any other "news."

Did I mention that it's been an IUD?
