No word from the mechanic, but then I didn't really expect to hear from him this soon.

I got some tidying done around the house and a bit on the yard, but that was about it.

I've just about got various cushions arranged to leave a gap for the sore spot.

Probably my most productive activity was a lovely nap early in the afternoon.

Tomorrow would be a good day to rake the driveway and burn the leaves etc.--while the car is missing. And if I start early I'll sweat less. Hmmm---I'll have to give that some serious thought.

I had the TV on for Obama's press conference about noon and was impressed by his handling of the questions. However, one can only wonder how it will all turn out--will new barrier islands get dredged up in time? How many times will blame get shifted? Will the fishermen etc. actually get reimbursed for their lost jobs? And how long will it take various agencies to actually act?

Oh yeah--and how much will gas prices rise as the oil companies use this as an excuse to raise prices in an attempt to pass their costs along to the consumer--and raise the salaries of the top executives.

I wonder what type of insurance they have?

I/we will find out soon enough.
