My newly repaired car ran beautifully and we went to WalMart. The various critter foods were pretty much at a low point, so I took care of that first.

Then I got some stuff for me.

Not much, because the electric cart I had was trying to die. But the essentials got restocked.

And the oil well keeps putting out. Damages are already in the billions, and (so far) not too much has made it to land.

It's sort of like the faucet handle twisting off when opened too far. Except that one can always turn off the household water and repair it. No handy-dandy valve for an out of control oil well.

Weather today has been great--hope it continues for a few more days, at least.

I think tomorrow I will give my car a present--a trip to the car wash--and I don't mean a drive through one. This one vacuums etc.

But first I'll do some yard work before it heats up too much. The volunteer greenery (weeds) have been really enjoying the occassional rains the past week or so. Time to thin them out.

(Stay tuned to see if my enthusiasm for yard wowrk carries over into tomorrow.)
