That's what today seems to be made of.

Going through the laundry heap(s) and semi-sorting the stuff. Maybe I'll do an it-can-sit-in-the-dryer-overnight load this evening.

Sorting out bills etc. (and that's only half done), petting the cat and arguing over how much of the table my computer sits on she's going to occcupy, and acknowledging the big guy who spends most of his days outside guarding the house and yard have taken up the rest of my day.

I'm not sure what he's guarding it from--he seems to be friends with the possums and raccoons. He gives them a wide berth, but he also sits on the cat shelf on the porch and watches them eat. They also refuse to get upset when I watch them from inside the sliding glass door. Before Katrina we had lots of squirrels, but the storm took out a lot of the trees--interrupting their treetop "highways" and then the coup de gras was administered by the donkey's rear end who clearcut the 45 acres nearby. (And there have been no houses built on it.)

After having three doctor appointments last week, I have none this coming week--barring accident or something similar. What will I do with all that time!!

Talk to the property tax folks--but first go to the bank and get them to make a copy of the check for me.

And, as always, there is yard work, not to mention inside tidying.

(And that's why it's an Incredibly Unremarkable Life.)
