I managed to get in a visit to WalMart between the rain bands!

I'd figured I'd be able to, and I was.

Later this evening there will be more significant rain. And who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Will some of the oil on the surface of the Gulf get lifted up and brought inland?

Stay tuned and find out in the next day or so.

Louis Armstrong (airport) is getting significant traffic from the northeast. The Vice President was here today. (Or was it yesterday?) My guess is that the arrival of Air Force One messes up routines.

This evening Little Goldie must have been really hungry. She could barely wait for me to get the kibble into a dish. And then a sibling appeared.

I ran out of Critter Cookies (one reason I went to WalMart) but now I have replenished the stock. I usually wait till after dark to toss them out.

A glance at the TV schedule tells me that it will be a low-level backdrop to Pirate Latitudes this evening.

Tomorrow will probably have significant rain. As long as the winds stay low, that's okay.
