It rained a bit this morning.

It stopped long enough after lunch for me to make a quick trip to the big W for (what else) critter food.

It just now started again. It's amazing how incredibly friendly cats are when it's nasty outside, especially cats who have "come in from the cold," so to speak.

Judging by the weather radar, it will be intermittent to steady rain for tonight. It's summer, we're semi-tropical--what else is new?

For some reason I happened to glance at my driver's license as I closed up my wallet and discovered that it expired a couple of weeks ago--on my birthday.

Well, that's item 1 for tomorrow. Go to DMV, prove I can still see, fork over some money, and then I'll be good for either two or four years--I can't remember if the interval drops after 70.

I guess I should look at my crip tag also, to see if it's needing a renewal. When the doctor signed the paper for a handicapped tag, he put "lifetime" for the time period. (After the hip surgery I'd had a temporary that had to be renewed, but when I asked him for a renewal he put "lifetime" for the time period. However, DMV issues handicapped tags for only a finite period. Oh well, compared to some states, tags etc. are quite reasonably priced.)

And so my IU life continues.

Little Goldie came by early today and could hardly wait for me to get the dry food down and within her reach. (That's why I made the afternoon food foray--can't have nursing mothers hungry.)

My plans for yard work got rained out. Oh darn.

Maybe tomorrow.
