"Bonnie" has been downgraded from a Tropical Storm to a tropical depression. That's good, windwise.

And the track is currently a bit east of New Orleans.

HOWEVER - - -

It's still going to be pushing oil ahead of it. And it's the Gulf Coast beaches--especially MS, AL, and FLA that will be getting the oil globs.

And there are a lot of concerns that the oil will get into Lake Pontchartrain.

This afternoon I finally got at some of the yard work, and got the last of the burn piles burned. I think my next step will be weed killer, then maybe get a load of gravel out here to even things up.

Spots helped me with the job--he patrolled the part of the driveway involved and then shifted to a more passive guard duty. He looked very relaxed, but didn't go to sleep.

None of my little masked friends came by during this activity, but I wasn't out there during their hungry hours.

By the time I finished I was soaked to the skin.

My hair is now drying, and I feel lovely and clean.

And that reminds me that I need to get the washer going.
