It's 7 PM and the temperature is 97 F.

Earlier this afternoon all three of my thermometers read 100 or over. The one on the front porch was 100, the indoor part of the dual thermometer in the den read 102, and the outdoor part was higher than that by several degrees.

Depending on how it cools down this evening, I may make myself at home on the futon in the computer room--which has an AC.

The cats are doing as little as possible. The raccoons are not as frisky as usual.

I rented Arby's air conditioning in the late afternoon, so I didn't see what the TV weather people had to say.

And the online weather maps don't have much in the way of rain or showers showing.

I spent the early part of the afternoon at PJ's, then stopped at WalMart for the usual "few things"--mostly critter crunchies.

As I started to drive out I saw the guy that "guards" the gate leading into the plant etc. outdoor section. There's very little shade, so I opened the window and called over to see if he wanted a nice cold coke. He was VERY grateful. I frequently buy a cold bottle of coke as I check out, but I hadn't opened this one yet. He looked like he could really use it.

Time for me to toss out the raccoon biscuits so the critters can have their evening snack. (I put out the kibble when I feed the cats.)
