I have spent most of today reminding myself that it is only the middle of the week--that I'm not hopelessly behind in what I need to be doing, not to mention want to be doing.

Although, with this current really hot spell I get into thinking of outdoor work for about one minute before I try to find something constructive that doesn't involve moving around.

Let's blame this unseasonably hot period on BP and its monstrous oil slicks.

At any rate, since it IS only Wednesday I have time to get Stuff done--or procrastinate a bit longer.

As I headed into the driveway after Arby's and reading I saw a stream of fuzzy creatures going out through the hole in the screen and heading for the woods. That was the masked children eating supper. Later this evening I'll toss out several handfuls of raccoon biscuits to keep them happy and healthy. The big black (with a couple of white spots) feline guardian kept watch at the foot of the porch steps.

My evening looks like most of my evenings--reading and watching TV. I'm getting closer to the end of the Tepper book. It's a long one and if I let too much time go between readings I have to stop and (mentally) double back and review who is who and what is going on with the various plot lines.

I shall probably read this again (if I ever finish the first reading) so I can keep better track of the many important characters.

And I have just about enough time to catch the rerun of the 6 PM news and weather.
