Strictly speaking--it's not that the weather is unpredictable, but the predictions change with great frequency.

Yesterday it was all about a possible/potential tropical storm developing in the southern Gulf of Mexico.

Today that continued, until somewhat after lunch, when it turned into maybe some rain tomorrow.

My friend with whom I plan to have lunch tomorrow is wondering about the weather too.

We may be on the phone first thing tomorrow morning, but I suspect (hope) that the now-optimistic forecast stays with us.

Other than that, life continues at Chez Rowland.

I had a big piece of watermelon at lunch, and cut up the rind and tossed the chunks out onto the side lawn. They will be gone by morning. That makes a nice treat for the assorted critters.

(I can't imagine why critters come to visit here.)

It's still hot hot hot. We really need rain on an almost daily basis to cool things down.

Public school has resumed here. I discovered that as I headed for Arby's, and found myself stopped by a school bus discharging passengers, including one girl who was using a walker, and didn't seem too experienced at getting down the bus steps.

Summer must be over, even if Labor Day hasn't gotten here yet.

Cross fingers that the weather will be decent tomorrow so I don't end up trapped at home.
