Weather--and temperatures--like we're having this week are a reward for the HH months (Hot and Humid). I'm back to using an afghan for a cover at night. And at least one cat will usually join me up close and cuddly.

Other than that, an IUD. The little raccoons came around for the easy food. The cats were quite happy with their dinners.

Tomorrow I go to the dentist for repair of the front tooth. The missing chip barely shows--unless you are a perfectionist dentist like mine is. I guess Thursday or Friday I'll try to give blood. This month's t-shirt celebrates the Saints (of course.)

Around here we're gearing up for elections--again. We need to elect a replacement Lieutenant Governor, since the previous one resigned when he got elected Mayor of New Orleans. Other than waiting for the Governor to die or get a better job (or get caught with the hand in the till), the Lt. Governor is in charge of state tourism. I'm not sure if any parish-wide offices are up for grabs. A neighboring town (Pearl River) has some people buying TV ads. But as far as I can tell, I don't need to go vote this time around.

My rearview mirror fell off the windshield today. Guess I'll stop at my mechanic tomorrow. I think it did it once before, but left the holder fastened to the windshield. Not this time, however. I'll try to get there first thing in the morning. Never a truly dull moment--just incredibly unremarkable.
