It's not quite 7 PM as I write this, and it's just about full dark outside. It seems like the earlier twilight came about quite suddenly.

There is a very friendly Calimese Tabby curled up on top of the down sleeping bag. She thinks that's about the most comfortable sleeping place ever. If she wiggles a bit she can almost make herself a cave.

The boy cat is no doubt out on the patio doing guard duty. His job is to watch all the various critters coming onto the porch and patio for snacks.

Later he'll come inside and make sure that I don't float away when I'm sleeping. His weight on top of me keeps me safe.

It was definitely an IUD. I did make a quick stop at WalMart in the afternoon for some more critter food--and one of their salads for my supper.

I usually get the $2.98 salad, but today I saw a chef salad and bought that--not realizing till I got home that it was the $3.98 size--and a LOT of food.

My "productive" activity for today was household bookkeeping. Exciting, right?

It's getting cooler and so far the weather is just gorgeous. Since the furnace pilot is now on I can be warm in the mornings fairly quickly.

I probably need to put out the raccoon biscuits for their evening snacks.
