Another Quiet Day

And I don't expect any "visitors" this evening.

For starters, there are almost no little kids in the area.

Secondly--there aren't all that many houses. Where I am, the houses have at least 100 feet frontage.

And, as I mentioned before, I don't think I've had any "visitors" since we moved here.

When I was growing up (in the 40s) it was called "going begging." You'd go to the door and ask "do you have anything for Halloween?" None of this implied threat of "trick or treat."


My missing debit card re-appeared from the fourth dimension. It had found a portal under the driver's seat.

Now the new one is missing. The girl at the bank will think I'm overdue for "the home."

Or maybe my wallet has a gate to another dimension in it. My last (and only) purchase with it was at Walgreen's, but I don't see it (yet?) on the web site.

If there were not conundrums in life it would be pretty dull.

And now to watch the Saints game. That should be the Hallowe'en party to end all parties!
