And today I managed to get some stuff done that needed doing, like bringing the checkbook up to date.

In the afternoon I went down to the blood center to donate platelets, but there was a note saying they needed a CBC before I gave again. I thought I just did that a couple of months ago. Maybe because I'd had the head problem? Whatever.

So, they took a vial of blood, and then I chatted a bit with the people who do all the telephoning.

I then proceeded to Arby's for an early supper.

And now I look out at the pitch blackness of the sky, and shake my head in disbelief that the clock says not even 6:30.

I'll appreciate the time change in the morning.

It must be harder to have a neat and tidy bath when you are a striped cat, rather than an almost solid black cat. The stripes take a lot of work to get properly arranged. (CC is on the papasan next to the printer.)

On the way home from Arby's I stopped at the Walgreen's drive-up to pick up a couple of prescriptions I'd called in earlier. I thought the car in the other lane would NEVER get things straight. There were least five cars in each of the two lanes. It took me under two minutes to complete the transaction. I put the charge card (the one with my picture on it) into the tube, and once it was it was my turn all I had to say was "prescription pickup" and the clerk looked at the picture on the card, then at me, and next thing I knew the tube came back to my lane, with my refills in it. (and my credit card, of course)

Can't watch TV too late tonight--not if I'm going to get an early start tomorrow morning.

Nice weather predicted for the day.

And that also means good sleeping weeather tonight.
